Having grown up in the North West of England I started programming computers in primary school in 1982 on a classic ZX81 (the headmaster was very forward-thinking)! I was unceremoniously dragged down to Cornwall at age 13. Studied my degeree in London and then came back to the South West. I started my first business in Newquay in 1997 - this was a pure website design and internet marketing company and unfortunately was a little too ahead of its time.
After a move to Plymouth in 1999 and being asked by a number of customers to sort out their general computer and network problems, I decided to expand the scope of the business and Adept IT & Internet was born.
Although currently based in Plymouth we have office space and family near Penzance and hope to move back across the Tamar Bridge during 2012. We have customers across the whole of the South West from Penzance all the way up to Weston-Super-Mare.
My most rewarding work in recent years has been to help run the charity Scoot-A-Long where I look after the office computer network, design and manage the website and produce the eNewsletter.
2012 is an exciting year for Adept IT & Internet, we are planning to become a Limited Company and expand the operation about 300% with a view to taking on staff across Cornwall, Devon and Somerset. Oh, and we're planning on opening an office in Cyprus!
